A periscope telephoto in a $130 smartphone? The design of the Lava Blaze Pro camera hints at such a solution, but it is not.

Lava has introduced a budget smartphone Blaze Pro, which at first glance is equipped with a periscope telephoto. At $130, this would be an incredible deal.

However, this is of course not the case. Despite the characteristic square pupil of one of the cameras of the main unit, there is no periscope system there. Moreover, there is only a 2-megapixel depth sensor installed.

As for the rest of the cameras, there is a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and a front-facing camera with the same resolution.

A periscope telephoto in a $130 smartphone? The design of the Lava Blaze Pro camera hints at such a solution, but it is not.

The heart is the SoC MediaTek Helio G37, there are 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash memory. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.5-inch HD+ screen with support for 90 Hz. You can also select a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh and Android 12 OS.

Interestingly, Lava offers its new product for $130 in India, while debuting in Europe is very similar Motorola model with the same price and almost identical parameters, but with stereo speakers and more memory.
