It is reported that the development of a drug for the treatment of COVID-19 was carried out by specialists of the State Research Center Institute of Immunology. Professor Musa Khaitov was in charge of the process. The name of the drug is deciphered as “Small interfering RNA”.
The drug works simply – it selectively suppresses the activity of vital viral RNA sequences. However, it does not touch the human genome in any way. At the same time, to deliver the substance to the upper and lower respiratory tract, it contains a cationic dendrimeric peptide.
