The situation can be corrected by a fresh development of Israeli scientists. They invented a completely new type of device using common commercial sensors.
The new system consists of electrodes attached to the face. They register signals from the muscles, after which the software part analyzes the data received and reports if the person has lied.
As part of the experiments carried out with the use of new items, scientists have found that, unlike humans, the new “lie detector” copes with its task quite well.
An important role in this was played by the use of machine learning algorithms that analyzed signals from muscles located near the lips and above the eyebrows.
Scientists said that as a result, they managed to achieve an accuracy of lie recognition at the level of 73%, which is currently an “unprecedented” indicator.
