Security company Kryptowire has discovered a serious vulnerability in mobile devices with chips from the Chinese manufacturer Unisoc.
According to the experts’ report, there is a flaw in the chipset that allows hackers to gain access to user data and device functionality. This applies to smartphones with the UNISOC SC9863A chipset. It is installed in Nokia and Realme models.

According to Kryptowire, the vulnerability could even give attackers access to calls, text messages, contacts, and other personal data. If desired, they are able to record video from the device screen, use an external camera to capture video, or even remotely control a smartphone.

Kryptowire has already reported the problem to the Chinese chipmaker. They also sent warnings to device manufacturers and carriers.
