Telegram 12.5 beta for iOS introduces a new privacy feature to block copying and forwarding of chat content, along with automatic date recognition for creating reminders.
The beta version of Telegram 12.5 for iOS introduces two notable new features. One focuses on improving chat privacy, while the other is designed to help users set reminders more easily.
According to the Telegram channels BetaInfo and Telelakel, users will soon be able to restrict their contacts from copying, saving, or forwarding content from chats. This option can be enabled in a contact’s settings by selecting “Edit” and then tapping “Prohibit Copying.”
The second feature automatically recognizes dates mentioned in messages and suggests creating reminders. Telegram will detect phrases such as “today” and “tomorrow,” as well as specific calendar dates, and prompt users to set a reminder accordingly.
It is not yet clear when these features will be rolled out to the stable version of the app.
