7th Pay Commission: Yogi government will give good news to lakhs of employees before Diwali, how much bonus will they get this time?

The Yogi government may increase the dearness allowance (DA) of employees by 4 percent. According to the report, the state government is also expected to announce bonus for non-gazetted employees. It is being told that the UP government led by CM Yogi Adityanath will take a decision to increase the DA of state employees after the DA hike is announced by the Center. The Center is expected to take a decision on DA in the last week of September or the first week of October.

This year you are expected to get a bonus of more than Rs 7000
The decision taken by the UP government will benefit 23 lakh employees and pensioners. This step will put a burden of Rs 3000 crore on the state treasury. Apart from this, non-gazetted employees are also expected to get bonus. This is decided on the basis of basic salary and DA. Last year, employees got a bonus of about Rs 7,000. This year the bonus is expected to be slightly higher.

When will the 8th Pay Commission be formed?
There have been demands for the Eighth Pay Commission from various government employee unions. However, the government does not have any proposal to form the Eighth Pay Commission yet. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on July 30, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said, ‘Two representations have been received for the formation of the Eighth Central Pay Commission in June 2024. At present, there is no such proposal under consideration of the government.’ The Seventh Pay Commission was constituted in February 2014. Its recommendations were implemented from January 1, 2016. Usually, the Pay Commission is constituted every 10 years by the Central Government to revise the salaries of government employees.
