Within 27 months of its launch, this 7-seater car has achieved sales of 1.5 lakh units. This is a big milestone for the company. The most important thing is that 62 percent of Kia Carens customers prefer manual transmission. 50 percent of Kia Carens customers are buying mid and top variants.
62% customers lost on manual transmission models
Kia has released some key details about the Carens sales numbers, including variant-wise figures. The mid and top variants of the 3-line MPV have received 50 per cent of the customers. Along with this, 62 per cent of the owners have opted for the manual transmission model, while the ratio of petrol and diesel sales is 57:43.
17,000 units exported
The Matrix variant of Kia Carens, launched in February 2022, received an update and is currently offered in a total of 30 variants. The company also exports this car to the global market. The company has shipped around 17,000 units of it abroad. Carens, in particular, accounts for more than 15 per cent of the company’s total sales in the Indian market.
Kia Carens is available in a variety of combinations for buyers. Customers can choose it on the basis of engine, gearbox, color variant. Kia is currently working on an EV derivative, which is confirmed to launch in India next year.
