Florida-based defense tech founder Aaron Sneed said he has delegated functions such as human resources, legal operations, supply chain, quality control, and data management to AI systems. He believes that GPT-based tools not only reduce costs but also save approximately 20 hours of work per week.
In an interview with Business Insider, Aaron Sneed explained that he has created a group of about 15 AI agents, which he calls “The Council.” At the center of this system is a “chief of staff” agent that prioritizes tasks and ensures essential responsibilities—such as compliance, security, and legal matters—are handled first. According to Sneed, as a solo founder, AI has become not merely a convenience but an operational necessity.
Aaron Sneed said his AI agents are trained not simply to agree with him, but to ask questions and identify potential mistakes. “I want them to test my theories and point out blind spots,” he explained. He added that these agents conduct group reviews of documents and proposals in virtual roundtable sessions, helping reduce errors and knowledge gaps. Training each agent takes approximately two weeks.
However, Aaron Sneed also acknowledged that AI cannot fully replace human judgment. For example, his legal agent can handle drafting documents and processing data, but a human lawyer is still required to make the final decision.
Looking ahead, Aaron Sneed envisions a hybrid model in which employees work alongside an AI “chief of staff.” In this approach, AI would handle repetitive tasks, while humans focus on strategy and complex decision-making. He did not specify when human employees might be added to the company, but the example suggests that AI-driven automation could significantly impact many traditional roles.
