Sales of the Blackview BV8800 smartphone have started in China. The novelty differs from conventional smartphones in a number of ways. Firstly, it has the maximum degree of protection for consumer devices: compliance with IP68 and IP69K levels, as well as the American military standard MIL-STD-810H, is declared. Secondly, there is a battery with a very large capacity – 8380 mAh (with support for 33 W charging). Finally, thirdly, there is an infrared 20-megapixel camera in the main one.
The company will sell the first 500 smartphones on Aliexpress for $ 200. Several days are allotted for this, until January 14. After that, the smartphone will sell for $ 240.
The Blackview BV8800 is built on the MediaTek Helio G96 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of flash storage. The IPS screen is 6.58 inches, Full HD + resolution and 90Hz frame rate. The main camera, in addition to the aforementioned 20-megapixel, uses sensors with a resolution of 50 (Samsung JN1), 8 and 2 megapixels. The OS is Android 11 with the Doke OS 3.0 interface. The dimensions and weight of the Blackview BV8800 are 176.2 x 83.5 x 17.7 mm and 365 grams, respectively.
