Hycan has released the first images of its upcoming all-electric minivan, which will be the world’s first mass-produced minivan with an 800-volt system. It will allow you to replenish the power reserve for 200 km in 5 minutes.
Hycan was originally a joint venture between GAC and Nio, but is now wholly owned by GAC. Hycan vehicles use technology from Aion, another GAC electric vehicle brand.
The new Hycan will be positioned as a mid-size minivan, which is the production version of the Hycan Concept-M introduced last year. The Hycan minivan retained the overall shape and proportions of the Concept-M body, unusual headlights and lanterns.
The computer system will include two Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 single-chip systems at once to display content on multiple screens for the driver, as well as front and second row passengers.
In addition, the vehicle will also be equipped with a laser rangefinder with a 300m range. Hycan claims the lidar can accurately detect pedestrians at 100m and vehicles at up to 250m.
The minivan will be officially unveiled at the 2022 Guangzhou Auto Show starting on December 30th.
