According to reports, central government employees are expected to get 3 to 5 percent DA increase by March 2023.
Last DA Hike
The Center increased the DA in September 2022, benefiting about 48 lakh central government employees and 68 lakh pensioners. The government had announced a 4 percent increase in DA and after that the total inflation allowance reached 38 percent. Central government employees were getting 34 percent DA before the September increase, which was increased by 3 percent in March 2022.
7th Pay Commission DA
However, earlier the government had not announced DA increases during the Kovid epidemic. Since July 1, 2021, the government had increased inflation allowance by 11 per cent. At the same time DA was increased from 17 to 28 percent from July 2021. Currently, central government employees are receiving 38 per cent DA.
