In April this year, Nikon introduced the 660 GB MC-CF660G CFexpress (Type B) memory card. This device will be released in China on August 5 for $782.
Nikon claims that the 660 GB MC-CF660G memory card is great for taking photos and videos with the Nikon Z 9 full-frame FX format mirrorless camera. The maximum read speed of about 1700MB/s and the maximum write speed of about 1500MB/s make it easy to support high-speed continuous shooting and 8K video recording shot with Nikon Z 9.
In 2019, the CompactFlash Association released a new specification for high-speed memory cards, CFexpress 2.0, and divided CFexpress cards into three types: Type A, Type B, and Type C. The CFexpress Type B memory card uses two USB 3.2 Gen 2 channels, and the theoretical interface speed can reach 2.0 GB/s.
