In the UK, the new generation AC Cobra GT sports car was introduced. The revived model retained the design of the original as a whole almost unchanged, but became more modern and larger.
The heart of the novelty is a 5-liter V8 engine from Ford. It can have a power of 460 or 660 hp. In the second case, this will allow a car weighing 1450 kg to accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.4 seconds and reach speeds of up to 278 km / h. The car in the basic version will accelerate in 4.5 seconds at a maximum speed of 250 km/h.
Any of the engines can be aggregated with both a 10-speed automatic transmission and a six-speed manual transmission. All cars will be equipped with a limited slip differential, and for an extra charge they will offer a Torsen self-block.
As before, the machine is based on a spatial framework. A hardtop is available as an option, and the car’s creators say it’s the most comfortable AC Cobra model ever, so it might even be suitable for everyday use.
They ask for a car from 285,000 pounds sterling, and only 250 cars will be produced per year at best.
