63 thousand km. Rocky ‘catastrophe’ coming towards the earth tomorrow at an hourly speed, know about it

Asteroids continue to pass close to Earth. Now another rocky ‘Aafat’ is approaching us. Its name is ‘Asteroid 2022 QB22’, whose size is said to be 180 feet wide. Accordingly, it is as big as a commercial aircraft. The US space agency NASA has said that this asteroid will pass close to the Earth tomorrow. However, when this asteroid will come close to our planet, there will still be a distance of more than 54 lakh kilometers between it and the Earth. According to this, it is not a threat to us, but scientists will keep monitoring it till the last moment.

of the information according, ‘Asteroid 2022 QB22’ is traveling at a speed of about 63 thousand kilometers per hour. It is not a threat to our planet, yet scientists have placed it in the category of potentially dangerous. The reason for this is that such asteroids may collide with the Earth in the future.

Scientists are also alert about the movement of asteroids because their havoc has been seen on Earth in the past. Millions of years ago, the destruction of dinosaurs from our earth was due to an asteroid. However, NASA’s Planetary Defense Coordination Office monitors the sky through telescopes and keeps an eye on the upcoming Near-Earth Object (NEO) flyby.

According to NASA, they are also called minor planets. Just as all the planets in our solar system revolve around the Sun, so also the asteroids revolve around the Sun. Asteroids are the rocky remnants left over from the early formation of our solar system about 4.6 billion years ago. Scientists have so far detected 11 lakh 13 thousand 527 asteroids.

When an asteroid is discovered, it is named by the International Astronomical Union Committee. The name can be anything, but a number is also added to it like – (99942) Apophis. Asteroids are also named after artists, scientists, historical characters. After the departure of ‘Asteroid 2022 QB22’, on September 11 and 12, many asteroids will pass close to the Earth.
