The Umidigi Bison GT2 and GT2 Pro smartphones debuted in China – the devices are notable for being well equipped and protected at a low price. Interestingly, the specifications are the same, the only difference is that the regular Bison GT2 has 128 GB of flash memory, while the Bison GT2 Pro has 256 GB.
The screen is characterized by a diagonal of 6.5 inches, Full HD + resolution and a frame rate of 90 Hz. The resolution of the embedded front camera is 24 megapixels. The main camera is represented by sensors with a resolution of 64, 8 (with an ultra-wide-angle lens) and 5 (for macro photography) megapixels.
The devices are based on a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. The OS is Android 12. The standard amount of flash memory can be expanded using microSD memory cards up to 512 GB.
Both smartphones are dust and water resistant to IP69 and IP69K ratings, and they also meet the requirements of the US military standard MIL-STD-810G and must withstand a fall from a height of 1.8 m without consequences.
The Umidigi Bison GT2 and GT2 Pro configuration also includes NFC, a side fingerprint scanner, and an infrared thermometer. The battery capacity was 6150 mAh, 18 W charging is supported.
Along with Umidigi Bison GT2 and GT2 Pro, Umidigi Bison GT2 5G and GT2 Pro 5G are also presented. They have everything the same, except for the platform: instead of MediaTek Helio G95, MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G is used. Interestingly, 5G versions will get Android 11 out of the box, with Android 12 coming later as an over-the-air update.
Pricing has already been announced: Bison GT2 $240, BISON GT2 Pro $270, Bison GT2 5G $300, Bison GT2 Pro 5G $340. Retail sales in China will start at the end of February.
