5G will be launched in India from tomorrow, 5G network will be available at Delhi airport first, internet speed will be 20 times faster


Tomorrow i.e. from October 1, the first 5G network in Delhi will be launched by PM Modi. Meanwhile Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport is the busiest and largest airport in India, which is now ready for 5G network. This means that you will soon be able to use the most advanced mobile service at the terminal immediately after the launch of 5G services in the country.

Officials announced that passengers carrying a 5G-enabled smartphone with a 5G SIM card can experience it from Domestic Departure, International Arrival Baggage Area and T3 Arrivals to Multi-Level Car Parking (MLCP) at Terminal 3.

The 5G services of Delhi Airport Terminal 3 will be implemented in a phased manner. As of now, only a few TSPs have received this new 5G network service for the convenience of their customers, but others are likely to join in the coming weeks.

Passengers will get 50 times faster 5G network experience

In addition, visitors to GMR Aerocity Delhi can experience the 5G network at GMR Square. A 5G network will provide passengers with data speeds that are 20 times faster than current Wi-Fi technology or 50 times faster than current mobile data communication networks.

The 5G network will bring in features like faster downloads, zero buffering during streaming, 3D gaming experience, higher connectivity and allow greater coverage across all regions.

In order to provide world-class mobile experience to its passengers, DIAL, a GMR Airports Infrastructure Limited-led consortium that operates and manages the Delhi airport, has already developed In-Building Solutions (IBS) for 5G network. was established.

Also, it will enable airports to go for new technologies like edge computing, Internet of Things (IoT), digital twin creation and artificial intelligence.
