New Delhi. Apple will enable 5G for Indian users in its iOS beta program by next week. Although Apple has confirmed this news, we do not have any final date yet when it will roll-out. 5G services in India have been announced on 1 October.
A few weeks ago, the Indian government pushed the company to enable 5G services in India. On this, Apple had said that it will roll out the software update for the users in December. Now its beta roll out is kind of a precursor and will give feedback to Apple as to what kind of changes should be made in things related to this service? In a statement, Apple said that it was working with carrier partners to bring 5G. As the network validation will be done and the quality, performance test will be completed, 5G service will be made available to iPhone users.
Apple users of Airtel and Jio who participate in the beta software program will be able to use 5G after the update next week. Users will be able to experience pre-release software and the latest features before the software becomes available to everyone through the Apple Beta Software Program. During this trial, users can also provide quality feedback to Apple. Users will have to separately enroll for the beta program. It will not be suggested that general users try this as it is not a final product and sometimes it has bugs.
Apple’s iPhone 14, iPhone 13, and iPhone 12 series phones, as well as the iPhone SE (3rd generation) models, are also 5G compatible. These same devices will get beta software next week and full update in December.
