Asus today officially introduced the flagship smartphone Zenfone 9. Almost all the rumors about this model were confirmed, including the cost: in Europe, Zenfone 9 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory is asking for 800 euros. Other options are 8/256 GB for 850 euros and 16/256 GB for 900 euros.
The dimensions of the novelty are 146.5 x 68.1 x 9.1 mm. Thickness aside, the Zenfone 9 is smaller than both the predecessor Zenfone 8 (148 x 68.5 x 8.9mm) and the iPhone 13 (146.7 x 71.5 x 7.7mm). Weight Zenfone 9 – 169 grams.
The novelty received a 5.9-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a frame rate of 120 Hz. Maximum brightness – 1100 cd / sq.m. The screen occupies 90.02% of the front panel area and covers 112% of the DCI-P3 color space. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.
The Zenfone 9 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC and is the smallest smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s top-end single-chip system. What distinguishes it from most other flagships is the presence of a standard headphone jack. Zenfone 9 is also well protected from dust and water – in accordance with the IP68 rating. The battery capacity was 4300 mAh, the maximum charging power was 30 watts.
There are two modules in the main chamber. The main thing is that Sony IMX766, which is widely used in top-end and mid-level models, has a resolution of 50 megapixels. In the module with it – a wide-angle lens and a 6-axis stabilizer. In the additional module – a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, it is also used for macro photography. The smartphone also has stereo speakers, and the fingerprint scanner is on the side.
