Shen Yan’an, co-founder and president of Ideal Motors, said shipments of the large Ideal L9 off-road vehicle have exceeded 10,000 units in China alone.

This is the first time that a model from a Chinese brand with a starting price of more than $56,000 has achieved such a result. This is the first full-size Chinese SUV that broke the monopoly of foreign brands in this price segment.

On September 28, the 10,000th vehicle rolled off the production line at Ideal Motors’ production base in Changzhou, and a total of 10,123 such vehicles were shipped in September.

The Ideal L9 omits the familiar dashboard, while the central control screen and the front passenger screen are combined in a single body with a partition. For rear passengers, there is a large 15.7-inch screen descending from the ceiling. All OLED screens are up to 3K resolution.

The driver has a large head-up display on the windshield. The developers call it an interactive safe driving screen. This screen displays speed, engine speed, and navigation. The cabin has 6 microphones and 3D ToF time-of-flight sensors, which are used for voice and gesture control and interaction with three-dimensional space.

The computer system of the car is based on deep learning, the car received two Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 single-chip systems, 24 GB of RAM and 256 GB of high-speed information storage. There is also simultaneous support for two 5G networks.
