The GAC Aion Hyper GT sports car debuted at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The car is notable for its bodywork: the drag coefficient Cd is only 0.19 – less than the record (at the time) 0.2 Cd of the Merecedes-Benz EQS.
The second brand to follow is no less eminent – Lamborghini. The front doors of the car have approximately the same kinematics of opening the front doors – up and slightly to the side. At the same time, the rear doors (GAC Aion Hyper GT is a coupe sedan) open in the usual way.
Another body feature: The GAC Aion Hyper GT is the world’s first car with a fully enclosed front end. However, in the lower part of the bumper there are air intakes on the left and right, which open like blinds at high speed, thereby reducing the resistance to the oncoming air flow and increasing downforce. The same is served by a small rear wing, retractable at speeds over 80 km / h.
GAC Aion Hyper GT will be available in several versions: with all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive only. So far, the second version has been presented with a power plant with a capacity of 340 hp and acceleration to 100 km / h in 4.9 s. In the simplest version, one lidar will be installed on the roof of a sports car, in the top version there will be three lidars. In total, there are up to 39 different sensors, they should provide the third level of autonomy. The cost of GAC Aion Hyper GT is about 50 thousand dollars. A full-fledged premiere should take place later, but orders are already being taken.
