The BYD Yuan Plus electric crossover, which is priced between $ 20,000 and $ 25,000, is now available for pre-order in China. The cruising range is from 430 to 510 km.
It is the first all-electric SUV to be powered by the new BYD 3.0 platform, using the Dragon Face 3.0 design language. The dimensions of the car are 4455 x 1875 x 1615 mm with a wheelbase of 2720 mm. It is marketed as a compact SUV, but it has a short front overhang and a large wheelbase, which provides quite a lot of room for landing in the cabin.
The vehicle is equipped with an AC permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 203 hp. and a peak torque of 310 Nm. It takes the car 7.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h.
BYD Yuan Plus is equipped with a 15.6-inch swivel screen and BYD’s DiLink 4.0 (4G) network connectivity system, which integrates voice recognition, smart voice reminders and other functions.
In terms of safety, the new car is equipped with DiPilot Intelligent Driving Assistance, ACC-S & G Adaptive Cruise Control, FCW Forward Collision Warning, AEB-CCR Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring and other assistants.
The interior was designed by BYD chief designer Michel Paganetti himself, who previously worked at Daimler on the design of various Mercedes models.
