In terms of features, 2022 Baleno is quite updated in comparison to Tata Altroz. The 2022 Baleno is the first car in its segment to feature a colored heads-up display (HUD). This feature adds to the premium appeal of this hatchback car. The 2022 Baleno gets a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ARKAMYS powered sound system with Suzuki Connect app, auto climate control and Amazon Alexa device.
Talking about the Altroz, it gets a 7-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Harman sound system, rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlamps including iRA Suite, among other features.

Both the cars come with ABS and EBD with reverse parking camera, reverse parking sensor etc. However, the new Baleno comes with a 360-degree view camera and 6 airbags in the top variant. While the Tata Altroz is the only premium hatchback car in the country to have been given a 5-star safety rating in the NCAP crash test, the Maruti Baleno performs poorly with zero stars in this regard. 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Vs Tata Altroz: Engine
The new Baleno is powered by a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine that churns out 90 Bhp of power and 113 Nm of peak torque. It is made available with the option of 5-speed manual gearbox and AMT gearbox. However, the Tata Altroz is offered with two petrol engines and one diesel engine.
The 1.5-litre diesel engine of the Altroz generates 89 Bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque. At the same time, the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 85 Bhp of power and 113 Nm of torque, while the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine produces 108 Bhp of power and 140 Nm of torque. Tata Altroz is available with manual transmission only.
Both these cars are in similar condition in terms of power produced by the engine. However, the Baleno lacks the option of a diesel engine, similar to the Altroz lacks the option of an automatic gearbox.

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno price starts from Rs 6.35 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.49 lakh, while the Tata Altroz price ranges between Rs 5.85 lakh and Rs 9.36 lakh. All prices are applicable on ex-showroom basis. Maruti Baleno and Tata Altroz are available in almost similar price range. However, the base variant of the Baleno costs Rs 50,000 more than the Altroz.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno is an updated car that has been introduced with new features. If you want to spend a few thousand bucks more, then of course you can buy the new Baleno. On the other hand, if you want to buy the safest car for yourself, then Tata Altroz will be the best car for you, although here you will have to compromise on some features like headsup display.
