New Delhi : Hyundai India is going to make major changes in the variants of the i20 in India very soon. If sources are to be believed, the company is about to introduce new variants of i20, while the sale of some variants will be stopped. Coming to the competition, Maruti Suzuki and Tata have introduced cars with strong features in the premium hatchback segment. Apart from these, new models of Tata Altroz DCA and new Toyota Glanza are also going to be launched very soon, so it becomes very important for Hyundai to update and bring the i20 to the market.
There will be major changes in the variants
According to the information, the two existing variants of i20 are going to be discontinued. The i20 Magna will be sold with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The fully loaded Asta optional variant will be launched in a new 1.2-litre petrol and CVT combination. The mid-spec i20 Asta will now be offered with only two petrol engine options which will include a 1.2-litre petrol manual and a 1.0-litre turbo IMT engine.
Many new features will be available separately
According to the variant, many features will be given separately to the customers with the i20.
