The famous car maker Volvo recently launched an SUV named Volvo XC40 Recharge in the country. A day after the launch of this electric SUV, the company has started accepting bookings for this car (Volvo XC40 Recharge booking). The company has kept its ex-showroom price 55.90 lakh (Volvo XC40 Recharge Price) in the Indian market. This SUV car can be purchased through Volvo digital sales channels. This electric car can give a range of up to 418 km on a single charge.
The company says that the deliveries of these cars will start in October this year. The Volvo company has set the booking amount for the XC40 car at Rs 50,000 with buyers offering a one-time option. The company has also recently issued a statement in which it has been said that only two hours have been opened for the bookings of this car and till now 150 bookings of this car of Volvo have been done.
Volvo first showcased the Volvo XC40 Recharge in India last year with plans to introduce the Volvo XC40 Recharge only in 2021 but that didn’t happen. The company attributed this to supply constraints and finally this SUV has been launched this year. The special thing is that the XC40 is a little different from the car that Volvo showcased last year. The updated model will get new design LED headlamps along with bumpers, though no changes have been made to the interior and exterior design of the vehicle.
The XC40 Recharge is available in a single full-loaded P8 variant and is available with all wheel drive as standard. Dual motor setup will also be seen in this electric SUV. There is an electric motor on each axle that makes 402 bhp and 660 Nm of torque. Apart from this, the units are paired with a 78kWh battery pack.
Due to this, it is being claimed about this SUV that its range is up to 418 km. The Volvo company also claims that this electric SUV achieves the speed of 0-100 kmph in just 4.9 seconds. The top speed of this SUV is 180 kmph. Volvo says that the SUV comes with an 11kw wall box charger, which is capable of fast charging up to 150kW.
Talking about the equipment level, this electric SUV will get a 9-inch touchscreen and it runs on Android based software. It has Google Assistant, Google Play and Google Play built-in. A 4-year subscription to digital services is included in the price of the SUV at Volvo.
Apart from this, many features like digital instrument cluster, dual zone climate control, air purifier, 360 degree camera, 600W Harman Kardon sound system will also be seen in this car. Adaptive cruise control, front and rear collision mitigation, pilot assist and lane keep assist will also be seen in the safety kit of this vehicle. Volvo says that this SUV will get 3-year warranty, 3-year roadside assistance and 8-year battery warranty.
