A month ago AMD presented Milan-X generation Epyc processors with optional 3D V-Cache. All models, regardless of the number of cores, have 768 MB of L3 cache. And today a system of a pair of top-end Epyc 7773X, which has 128 cores for two and more than 1.5 GB of cache memory, was lit up on the Web!
Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to assess the effect of the gigantic amount of cache memory.
As you can see, the Epyc 7763 is faster almost everywhere. In configuration, it is similar to the Epyc 7773X, but its base frequency is slightly higher (2.45 GHz versus 2.2 GHz), and there is no additional cache memory. But still, in some applications, the additional memory of new products should clearly manifest itself actively, so you need to wait for more tests.
