HMD Global has timed the announcement of the inexpensive Nokia T21 tablet computer for the opening of IFA 2022. It is a slightly improved version of the T20 tablet.
The device received an IPS screen with a diagonal of 10.4 inches and a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. There is support for an active stylus (Wacom WGP and Wacom Active ES 2.0), as well as a mode of operation as a second screen when connected to a PC running Windows.
The Nokia T21 runs Android 12 and is based on the Unisoc T612 SoC (12nm, with two Arm Cortex-A75 cores, six Arm Cortex-A55 cores and an Arm Mali-G52 GPU). The amount of RAM was 4 GB, built-in flash memory – 64 or 128 GB. The creators promise to release an update to Android 14, as well as provide the tablet with security updates for three years.
Nokia T21 has an LTE modem, two SIM card slots (or you can install one SIM and one microSD). The resolution of the front camera is 8 MP, and the main camera uses a sensor of the same resolution.
The body of the tablet is made of aluminum alloy, there is protection against dust and water in accordance with the degree of IP52. The battery capacity was 8200 mAh, it supports 18 W charging via a USB-C 2.0 port with support for the PD 3.0 profile. Also in the configuration is a standard headphone jack, stereo speakers. The cost of Nokia T21 in the basic version (4/64 GB and without LTE modem) is $130.
